Google Result Preview

Write and preview your title and description exactly as Google shows them, with pixel-width limits and the meta tags ready to copy.

Writing titles that get clicked

Google cuts titles off at about 580 pixels and descriptions at about 920 pixels, not at a fixed number of characters. Wide letters like W and M use more space than i or l.

A good local title follows a simple pattern: main service, location, then brand. The description should say what you do, where, and why to call you, then finish with an action.

Questions

Does Google always use my description?
No. Google rewrites descriptions often, especially when your description doesn't match the search. A specific, local description gets used far more often.
Should I put my phone number in the description?
It can help for urgent services (plumbers, locksmiths, towing), but keep it at the end so the important words show first.
